we interrupt our scheduled programming of incessant work to say WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and jump about a bit, even though my throat hurts quite a lot.
the game was quite scrappy & they were better than us for long stretches, and the nerviness was apparent both on the pitch & in the Sud which had long periods of frettiness rather than proper singing. But Baptista's goal was very nicely taken, off a beautiful assist from Totti. And winning a not entirely deserved 1-0 is in any case intrinsically very satisfying (insert cliche about Arsenal/girl/non-removability at will). Lots of commemorative striscioni, chanting, periods of silence etc in honour of Gabriele Sandri, whose death was just over 12 months ago. When I have time to dig out some pics & details I shall try to do so.
For now time to go & watch the highlights on the telly with a chocolate of some kind and celebrate a bit.
