Things that suck

Having no money to go the doctor.

God we are so spoilt by the NHS.

I have €10 in all the world. I *should* be paid tomorrow. Hopefully. And I should still be in one piece in order to haul my wretched shivering sweating self down to some randomly chosen clinic. Oh for my lovely GP at home.

Unless you think you've picked up an infection, you shouldn't really need to go to the Doctor. If it's a virus he won't be able to do anything - you'll just have to ride it out.

Wrap up warm and get plenty of rest - at least you won't be spending money that way.

This message comes courtesy of the NHS (albeit non-clinical)

A win for Roma in the Champions League would be a better tonic than any prescription...

It's been going on since Thursday, she definitely needs some kind of medicine, or I'll be waiting on her hand and foot forever.

I had flu back in January and it knocked me sideways for two weeks. Antibiotics won't touch a virus - just any chest/throat infection you may pick up as result.

Cheer up, at least it looks like you haven't lost JT for three games. Apparently the FA have decided that GBH doesn't even warrant a yellow card for him now.

I think Ginkers was trying to help . . .

I still can't believe people are surprised Terry's red card was recinded. It was a yellow card offence.

Well now he doesn't even have a yellow to worry about. The more worrying thing for Chelsea fans is that opposition coaches will have watched JT's complete inability to deal with pace and skill with great interest.

Don't expect Scolari to be putting him on man to man duties against the likes of Torres, Walcott or Ronaldo, especially without Essien in front of him for protection.

Essien for protection? He's our worst holding midfielder. In fact, he's not even a holding midfieder.

Terry can handle just fine thanks, and we'll fist Man United this weekend, you mark my words.

God bless Bevan innit, with the NHS.

Good old GPs. 90% of their work is writing prescriptions for penecillin.

May I add to sp3k's advice... Drink.Lots.Of.Water

PS- I sympathise with the $10 end of month complex. It makes me sad that there are so many intelligent hardworking people who finish the month with that horrid end of the month anxiety.
