Catania 1- 1 Roma

It finished as I expected, Inter won and once they'd gone 2 nil up the heart went out of us and we conceded. Complimenti al Inter campione d'Italia.

I am disappointed but not surprised, and I am still very happy about what we have achieved this season (which is, withall, not yet quite over...)

grazie rega' per averci fatto sognà...

intanto me ne vado a letto, c'ho un mal di testa pazzesca

Peccato, davvero....

It was just one step too far. But you have the makings of a great side there.

They'll still lift a trophy in front of the Sud, and have something on their jersey for next season.

You deserve no less, and so do they.

No apologies for being confident about the result going the right way (see comments on Spangly's previous blog entry). I don't think one person's confidence/prediction is going to jinx anything.

I'd like to have seen how it would have all turned out had Materazzi been rightfully red carded for that foul as the last man in defence when the game was still 0-0.

I didn't expect Parma to be so shit.

You took them to the last game, which, to be honest, is a lot further than I expected. Perhaps that was down to the Inter 'wobble'. Not sure how Roma kick on from here. But a new back 4 would be a start (and I know we disagree over Mexes), and a decent striker or 2.

Still, automatic CL qualification isn't a bad season, and there's still the cup to play for.

For me sins I watched the Inter game and they were struggling a bit until big Ibra came on. Once the first goal went in though Parma, other than a few futile penalty claims, never looked like getting back into it.

All the best for the coppa. You deserve something from this season.
