Coppa Italia QF ritorno: Roma 1 - 0 Sampdoria

well, not the best display we've put on recently by a long chalk, but a win is a win, she says in a not at all arsenal-ist kind of a way. And Mancini's goal was lovely - that's his 4th goal in January. Thank god he doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

There were also good performances from Cicinho, De Rossi & Taddei, while Totti looked absolutely unfit and almost entirely immobile. Absent, and not missed, was one Cassano, A. Unable to play, he apparently thought it best not to turn up at all. Probably for the best, I reckon...

It was absolutely blistering cold, but pleasingly noisy, and there was much raucous singing on the bus all the way home. In the semis we will play Catania who rather surprisingly beat Udinese, so without wishing to be presumptious, we should have a decent chance of getting to the final - which this year, for the first time, will be a one legged affair played right here in the Olimpico. Woot! And if things stay like they currently are, Lazio will be playing in the other semi against one of Juve or Milan... can you imagine how incredibly ace it would be to have a Roma-Lazio final?!

Hmmm. I know that the Sud is a different world, but up here the other semi is Inter-Lazio (Grazie Balotelli!).

And you know what that means.

Lokks like it's going to be Roma-Inter again. We should figure out a two-teams Coppa Italia nex year.
